Thursday

Today in Science we drew a life sized diagram of the human body adding in the digestive and respiratory systems.  They really enjoyed it.  We continued to work on voice in Write Traits.  In health we talked about safe adults.  Homework tonight:

 - report card envelopes signed and returned

Wednesday

The 5/6 students did a good job on their French check in today.  We worked on a surprise project with our little buddies today.  We had a VERY productive work block in the classroom today.  Homework tonight:

 - yr 6 math quiz tomorrow
 - spare change of clothes, the playground is wet right now

Tuesday

Today we read a few of the stories that are taking part in the March Madness activity in the library.  The theme in a lot of these books was choosing kind and standing up for others and what is right.  In gym today the children worked on gymnastics.  In math the year 4's started a measurement unit.  Homework tonight:

Monday March 9th

Today we had a lot of work block time to ensure that all work is completed before the holiday and no one has homework.  In our Journals today we wrote on what our perfect Spring Break would look like if we had no budget.  We changed the seating in the classroom today and have new spots.  Homework tonight:

 - gym (gymnastics please pull long hair back)
 - library tomorrow
 - respiratory package due if not already complete
 - Canadian Reader (year 4) is homework if not complete
 - What In The World article and map due tomorrow (grade 5/6)

Thursday

Today we had an AMAZING work block day!  The children worked so quietly and were very focused today.  They all got a lot of work completed!  We completed our Word Study sentence dictations today.  Packages will be marked tomorrow.  In health we talked about emotions.  Tomorrow in art we will be working with charcoal, please do not wear white.  Homework tonight:

 - write traits if not complete
 - yr 4's math p. 116 #1-14
 - digestive quiz tomorrow

Tuesday

In gym today we started gymnastics and worked on balance and rolls.  Today we had library and learned about the March Madness contest taking place in the library.  The grade fours were introduced to language cards today.  The year 5 and 6 students are learning vocabulary in French relating to the sugar shack.  Homework tonight:

 - yr 5 math if not complete page 110 #1-6, yr 6. p. 148 #8-9
 - Big 5 signed and corrections done
