What a fantastic day we had to day, it was the school track meet today. All the kids seemed to have a great time and I saw many ribbons heading home at the end of the day. As I am sure they will be quite tired I told them just to do some reading and practise spelling tonight. I hope everyone will be rested and ready to go for tennis in the morning. Please make sure you have on sunscreen and have a hat and water bottle with you. Have a great night!

Wednesday

It was a cold, yet fun morning today for our first tennis lesson. The children all seemed to really enjoy themselves. Homework today:

- home reading
- study spelling
- math
- novel study
- spelling sheet
- energy homework

Many of the students are not doing their homework every night. It is getting to a point where I am no longer going to accept late assignments without valid reasons. Some students still have work outstanding that is a couple of weeks late. And today, half of the class did not get their homework completed last night. The students are given ample class time to do homework and should need no more than one hour to do any work that may be needed to be brought home. If your child seems to be bringing a lot of work home, perhaps you need to have a discussion about proper usage of class time. Have a good night!
