Thursday

We had a busy day today. Some of the first blog posts were made on the Red Cedar website. We also worked with our little buddies creating a countdown until Christmas and a buddy hand tree. Wednesday

A few of the children have asked to do Secret Santa so if you would like your child to take part please write a note in their agenda before Friday. We will draw names for those wanting to take part on Friday. Gifts are a maximum of $10 please. We also started writing a persuasive writing piece in class today. Please ask your child to tell you about what they have chosen to write. Homework tonight: - home reading - finish writing if not complete - library and gym tomorrow - report card envelope and skating form Have a good night.

Tuesday

It was very cold out today and many of the children were not dressed for the weather. Please make sure that your child has boots, snow pants, coat, gloves/mittens, scarf/neck warmer and hat. Homework tonight: - home reading - spelling challenge words (creating their own words that they struggle with 4-5, 5-7, 6-10) - skating permission slips - report card envelopes Have a good night.

Friday

We had such a fun time at our Clan Meetings today. We talked about making good choices and what that looks like. Report cards went home today. Please return the envelope signed, you keep the report. Monday is a ProD day so there is no school. A reminder that the Year 6 field trip forms are due back on Tuesday if they are choosing to attend. Have a great weekend!

Thursday

We had a lot of fun at a Teddy Bear Picnic with our little buddies this morning. We helped them go through five stations. It was cute to see the big buddies play dress up hospital with the little buddies and their bears. Tomorrow we will meet with Ms. Carter so please make sure that your child has their Red Cedar book at school. Tomorrow we will also be meeting in our clan groups and having a school assembly. I have asked the children to wear their DARE shirts if they can. Homework tonight: - home reading - study spelling - unfinished work Have a great night!

Wednesday

We had a wonderful morning today. Safety Bear came to help us celebrate our DARE graduation. The children had cake and juice to celebrate and all received T-shirts and a graduation certificate that they should be bringing home. We are having an assembly on Friday and if possible I would like to have the children wear their DARE shirts on that day. Tuesday

Just a reminder that tomorrow morning we are having our DARE graduation. This will take place in the classroom at 9am if anyone wants to join us. Each one of the students will be saying what they have learned from taking part in DARE and then we will be having a small celebration.
