We had a lot of fun in Science today and created mini tornadoes in the classroom. Please ask your child how we did this. Congratulations and good luck to those in the classroom who are going to the zone track meet tomorrow. We will be cheering you on! Thursday

Today was another busy day. We worked on our plays again in Fine Arts this afternoon. The children need to remember if they take their play home to practice to make sure that they have it with them on Thursdays. We also worked to put together some of the smaller packs to go inside the Backpacks for Hope project. We will be getting together with the other Montessori classes tomorrow to put these backpacks and supplies together. Tuesday

We started doing our school wide write today. This week the children will be writing on, "What I'd like you to know about me." They did a brainstorm activity today. Tomorrow they will write their rough copy and finish their good copy on Friday. Art Card orders are due tomorrow. Wednesday

We moved seats in the classroom today. Some of the children were moved while others stayed at the same table. They were a pretty tired group today as they worked really hard in the track meet yesterday. They will find out later in the week if they have moved on. Tuesday

Wow! What a great Track and Field Day! I hope that all the children had as much fun as I did. The weather was cool, but better than being too hot I think. Thank you to those who contributed to our classroom basket. It looks amazing!

Monday

We attempted to do a science experiment talking about the sun and atmosphere today. Unfortunately the sun did not cooperate and we will be trying again later in the week. Tomorrow is the school track meet. Please make sure you are prepared for cool or hot weather (water bottles, hats, sunscreen are advised). Running shoes and proper gym strip are REQUIRED. Tomorrow is the last chance to bring in items for our classroom "Movies and Munchies" basket. Have a great night!
