Friday

A reminder that Monday is a Pro-D Day so there is no classes for students on Monday.  We watched a great performance at YPC today.  It was called Mistatim and was presented by Red Sky Performance.  We also helped our little buddies with a clay project this afternoon.  Homework tonight:

Tuesday

Tomorrow will be the kick off for Jump Rope for Heart.  We will also be trying to get some more weeding done in the garden so the children might want to dress for that.  Scholastic orders are due on Friday morning.  Fun Fair volunteers are still needed if you have time that you are able to give.  Homework tonight:

Monday

This afternoon we did some field rotations outside.  The children worked on high jump, shot put and triple jump.  A reminder that tomorrow is the last day to bring in money for the basket raffle donations.  We still need volunteers to sign up to help out for Fun Fair on Thursday night as well.  Homework tonight:

Thursday

We had a good day in the classroom today.  Today was the 3rd Annual Day of Sucwentwecw (acknowledging one another) in our district and the children took part in an assembly and should be bringing home a copy of Secwepemc News that they all read today.  We started to weed the school garden today but as they were testing out the sprinkler system we did not get as much done as we would have liked.  Homework tonight:

 - home reading
 - any unfinished math, write traits or reading response
 - fun fair donations

Wednesday

We had a very productive day today with a lot of work getting accomplished.  The final day to return cash donations for the Fun Fair basket raffle (a reminder for those who didn't read yesterdays post that we have been asked to bring in cash donations to buy a bigger ticket item) is Tuesday.  Those can be sent in with your child.  There are still lots of empty spots to fill for volunteering as well.  Homework tonight:

Tuesday April 5 - Welcome Back

Welcome back!  I hope that everyone had a wonderful Spring Break.  The children were a bit chatty today and some needed to be reminded about using inside voices but we had a good first day back.  A few reminders about upcoming events.  Next Thursday will be our school Fun Fair.  Our class has been asked by the PAC to donate money for the basket raffle this year.  This money will be used to purchase an item or two to raffle off.  If you are able to help out the evening of the Fun Fair we are looking for volunteers, the sign up sheet is on the bulletin board in the library.  Also, any stuffed animal donations for the Fun Fair Panda Pitch would be greatly appreciated!  Homework tonight:

 - return gym strip to the school with running shoes if not already here.
