We had a wonderful Remembrance Day assembly today at the school.  In the computer lab we are reading an article on World Book about prehistoric man.  Your child should be bringing home a password this weekend so that they are able to access World Book at home.  Homework:

 - home reading
 - Math Expo projects in Monday
 - any overdue library books
 - Remembrance Day article if not complete

Wednesday

The children who chose to use their afternoon to work on building their Math Expo boards had a very productive afternoon!  Tomorrow is our school Remembrance Day assembly at 10:45.  Tomorrow the children will be receiving  a poppy, any donation you would like to send would be appreciated although not required.  Homework tonight:

Tuesday

Today in French the 5/6 students reviewed nouns and articles and how the article needs to match the noun if it is masculine or feminine.  We also practiced our handwriting this morning.  The children are really improving. Homework tonight:

Monday

We had a working day in the room today.  The children finished their Peace Dove art today.  We also looked at all the different parts of plant and animal cells.  A reminder that this week is a short week due to Remembrance Day on Friday.  Homework tonight:

Thursday

We had quite a lot of noise and silliness in the classroom today.  There were also a few tears.  I know the days following Halloween can be tricky so please ensure that your child is getting enough sleep.  We had a good time at the book fair with our class today.  I am sure the children are excited to share their purchases with you.  Homework tonight:

Tuesday

I challenged the children to pick up any candy/chips wrappers they could find on the playground today.  They did a wonderful job of helping to keep our school grounds clean and tidy!  A reminder that the Epicure fundraiser is due back to the school tomorrow.  Other fundraiser information is being sent home today.  Homework:
