Tuesday

It's hard to believe the week is half over already! Homework tonight:

- genre reading 1/2 hour
- study spelling
- first page of spelling, due to the short week this will make sure you are not scrambling
- yr. 4 math page 192
- yr. 5/6 work through as much as you can in your fraction booklet so that we can go over unknown concepts tomorrow
- french, any unfinished work from this morning
- Novel Study, if needed
- W.I.T.W., if needed

Monday March 29

What a fun Monday! We worked with circuits in science today and overheard one student remark that "this was the most fun in Science I have ever had!" A comment like that starts the week off on such a positive note! Homework tonight:
- genre reading
- study spelling
- yr. 5 fraction sheets - do what you can so we can work with what you don't know
- circuit activity - if you have not finished the writing to go along with this afternoons activity this needed to be completed for homework.
- novel study - only if you feel you are behind

Thursday March 25/10

We had so much fun with our Little Buddies doing spring crafts today. Homework tonight:

- 1/2 hour of reading for genre study
- spelling dictation tomorrow
- spelling sheet - was due today some are not finished still
- math fraction sheet - first two sides of book
- running tomorrow - the students are allowed to bring mp3 or ipod
- novel study - second set of questions due tomorrow morning
- Senior Froggy lunch tomorrow

Wednesday

The students are working on a genre study in the library right now. It is really important that they read the books that they have chosen each night for at least a half an hour. Homework tonight:
- genre reading
- study spelling
- spelling package
- What in the World - at least two articles completed
A new Scholastic order also went home today.

Monday March 22

What a great start to the week. Not much homework tonight. We have started a genre study in the library so all the children have a novel to read, at least half an hour. Also studying their spelling words for this week. The Year 6's have band tomorrow so they are to dress in concert dress and not forget early morning band practice. They also have a math test on Wednesday on division. Have a great night.

Friday!!!

What a fun end to a busy week. We did lots of fun, yet messy, art/craft/drama projects today. Some did not get a chance to participate because they had too much unfinished work for the week. Remember, if you do not get something done during the day it is YOUR job to take it home and finish it so that when we do fun art projects like we did today, that you get to take part. Homework:
- home reading
- novel study chapter(s) 1(1-2, depending on the group you are in) are due 8:30 Monday
- notice re: weekly running
- homework catch up, any unfinished work needs to be caught up on the weekend.
- a notice was emailed home today from the school as well.

Thursday

What fun we had with our Kindergarten buddies doing string and glue art today. Yep, it was as messy as you are thinking, but so much fun!!!!
Homework tonight:
- home reading
- study spelling
- F.A. group has prop making tomorrow
- 6's math is due tomorrow
- Write Traits Lesson 10 if not already completed
- Some children still have some notices to bring back

We are doing more art tomorrow so don't wear your best clothes! Have a good night!
