Fiesta Friday!

What a fun day today was. We had a BLAST making our Mexican lunch today. I love hearing comments like some of the ones I heard today, "Who knew vegetables could taste so good," and "Food tastes so much better when you cook it yourself." All these little chefs in the making! I hope you are taking advantage of the cooking skills that they are learning here at home! I am so happy that they are willing to try new things to eat and that most do it with an open mind. Homework this weekend:

- home reading
- study for math test Monday

Have a great weekend, see some of you on Sunday for Boogie!

Tuesday April 27

What a busy day, it seems like the days are going faster and faster the closer to the end of the year we get. Perhaps it is just because we are so busy? Hmmm. . . To add to the chaos we are going to cook again this week! We are having a Fiesta Friday with some homemade tacos and salsa this week. The children should be bringing their ingredient list home tonight, if for any reason you are unable to pick up the food, please just let me know and I can pick it up. They will need to make sure that they have a plate, fork or spoon and a cup this week (I will be providing a surprise drink and dessert). Homework today:

- Write Traits Lesson 14 (if not completed)
- Home Reading
- Study spelling
- math (if unfinished)
- Novel study
- field trip form x2
- shopping item(s)

Each child should also be brining two field trip forms home tonight for our Eagle Bay trip as well as tennis lessons that I have booked coming up for three Wednesdays in May. We need drivers for the tennis lessons and will need some parents still for Eagle Bay. These parents will be chosen based on a draw (as we know there are many who want to attend). Have a great night everyone!

Hoppy Easter!

We had a really nice day to end the week. I think that most of the children managed to get all projects and assignments finished and caught up this week so there should not be much going home this weekend. If they still have outstanding assignments then they will have to be finished up. Otherwise, they just have to read their genre books for a half hour each day. Enjoy the long weekend, see you all Tuesday!
