We had a lot of fun today with our little Kindergarten buddies. We went outside and had an egg hunt with them. A reminder that there is no school on Monday next week. Wednesday

In Fine Arts this morning we worked on finishing our 3D abstract designs. We also started to work on our crayon projects. Thank you to those who donated crayons to make this project possible. I am also looking for a blow dryer for art projects in the classroom if anyone has an extra one that they would like to donate. Monday March 25

It sounds like everyone had a wonderful Spring Break. Today, the children worked very quietly for most of the day, I think that they are still tired from their holiday. Thursday

We had a lesson on the french preposition "sur" today. Please ask your child if they can tell you what it means. We also wrote a letter to the class across the hall today inviting them to join us to watch a movie tomorrow afternoon. If your child would like to bring their own individual snack that would be okay. The Band students were off to festival today. I hope that they had a wonderful time and had a wonderful performance. Tomorrow the fine arts group will be starting our printmaking. We watched a wonderful performance this morning in the gym with an African Dancer. She was very entertaining and had us all on our feet dancing and clapping along. The students worked really hard today. They did the best silent reading I have seen so far this year. It is really nice to talk to them about the books they are reading and hear the recommendations that they make to their classmates. It was a very exciting afternoon this afternoon. One of the students found a maple leaf and was attempting to break a Guinness World Record. It was very interesting to see all the documentation that needs to go in in order to try to break the record. Good luck! I think today was one of the best working days we have had in a while. It was also a day that made me smile as at one point while listening to music in fine arts, they all started singing along. Very sweet. A reminder that the sign up for parent helps for Fun Fair is outside of our classroom door. Or you could also have your child sign you up for a shift if you are able to help. We also will need donations for a gardening basket for the basket raffle that night. What an amazing morning at the Science Fair today. All of the children worked SO hard on all of their projects.
