Today the grade 4's wrote another FSA, today was writing. They all seemed to enjoy writing about the topic they were given. In our research block with Ms. Carter she taught us how to make a slide show using our google accounts. They had a lot of fun with this. Homework tonight:

Today we started talking about some of the first explorers who came to Canada. We will continue to look into this later in the week. I have asked the children to try and find a few names of early Canadian explorers. Unfortunately many of the classroom materials are not being treated with care right now. We also did a comprehension cliffhanger, where I read the start of a story and they write the conclusion. Happy New Year! Today was a good first day back, a bit chatty but not as much as I expected. Thank you to those who remembered their snow pants. Please ensure that all children have their snow pants for tomorrow. We are skating on Thursday morning, thank you to those parents who have volunteered to drive. We are looking for a pair of boys skates in size 6 or 7 if anyone has a pair around the house.
