Tuesday

I have not written on the blog in a bit, but we have had some very fun things happening in the classroom.  Last week the students did a digestion experiment where we got to observe the first stage of digestion in our mouths with crackers.  Yesterday we were lucky enough to have Mr. Michel come into our classroom and talk to us about traditional foods and then we made bannock.  Art cards need to be returned to the school for tomorrow.  Homework tonight:

 - home reading
 - math 4p. 126 #1-9, 6 p. 148 #1-10
 - shovel design if not complete
 - art cards due
 - How Am I Doing? sheet signed and returned

Friday

Today we had a great day full of work block time.  The children should have handed in their completed McQueen Lake duotangs.  If they haven't these activities need to be completed over the weekend.  Today we also started a composer study and looked at the composer Hildegard von Bingen.  Homework this weekend:

 - McQueen Lake activities if not complete
 - Math 5p. 114 #1-21
 - Family Day Monday, No School

Thursday

Today we had a wonderful presentation from the Kamloops Brain Injury Association.  We had 2 women talk to us about why it is important to protect our brains.  Homework tonight:

 - math 4p. 111 #1-12, 6p. 131 #1-5

Tuesday

A reminder that weather permitting we will be heading outside tomorrow to do some outside Carnaval inspired games.  Please make sure that you bring your snow pants, gloves and a hat.  Homework:

Today was the last day that the students had in class to work on their slide show presentations.  If this is not completed they need to finish it for homework, they will be presenting them to the class on Friday morning.  Homework tonight:
