We are all very excited for the dance today. We helped to set up and had a lot of fun! Homework tonight:

- we still need quite a few parent volunteers for fun fair night (next Thursday). If you are able to give some of your time to support this evening there is a sign up sheet outside the office.

Wednesday

It was great to see many of the students wearing purple today in support of epilepsy awareness. We all started new cultural projects today. Homework tonight:

- dance tomorrow after school. $3 or $2.50 with a food bank item
- Friday is the final day to bring in items for the raffle basket. Our theme is movie night.

Tuesday

We started new novel studies today. Each child will be bringing home their project sheet tonight so that you can sign it and are aware of what they are working on. I was pleased to see that many children have been working on Mathletics over the holiday, however some are behind on their assigned work. Please make sure you are doing Mathletics for a minimum of 3 days a week for at least 20 minutes a session. Homework tonight:

- $2 donation for fun fair
- movie basket items
- dance Thursday after school $2.50 plus food item or $3
- wear purple tomorrow for epilepsy awareness

We had a great day back after a wonderful Spring Break. We started a fraction unit in math today. We had fun in gym working through high and low ranges of movement in gymnastics. Homework tonight:

Friday

We had a great day today! We did an art project with our buddies and then made cookies. The cookie press didn't work like we would have liked, but they tasted yummy! Report cards go home today. Please continue to read every day and do Mathletics at least 3 times for 20 min. each time over the break. Have a wonderful holiday. See you in a week!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We talked today about the history of Saint Patrick and what today means. We had fun trying to figure out some fun St. Patrick's Day themed logic questions. The children all wrote a math test today. Homework tonight:

- Eagle Bay $50 March deposit is past due
- We are doing raffle baskets at the fun fair this year. Our basket is a "Movie Basket". Please have all your donations in by April 1.

Wednesday

We went to the computer lab to work on Mathletics today and our class is number 42 out of all the classes in Canada playing today. Yay! Congratulations guys!!! Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day. I would like to challenge the children to find out tonight who St. Patrick was and why is there a day named after him. Homework tonight:

- mathletics
- all grades have a math test tomorrow
- Eagle Bay deposit

Tuesday

Due to some problems on the playground today I have decided to ban mini sticks for the boys in the classroom for the rest of the year. If I see the mini sticks at school anymore I will take them away. We had fun working on our food chains. Please do not forget that tomorrow and Thursday are half days with the students going home at 12:30. Homework tonight:

- mathletics - this is required 3 days a week for 20 min. a session. Many of the children are not doing this. Please check with your child to make sure they are doing so.
- math year 6. p.237 #1,2,5
- all students will be having math tests on Thursday

- if you are planning on being away Friday could you please write a note in your child's agenda. We will be cooking that day and I need to make sure I have enough ingredients for all children.

Today was a quiet day. As I am trying to make sure all assignments have been handed in so that I can write report cards can you please double check with your child that they have handed in what needs to be handed in. Homework tonight:
