Well, even though we didn't go out on a field trip today, we had a fun virtual one in the classroom. The children started the day doing activities to acknowledge National Aboriginal Day. I then banded each of them with a "duck band" and we went online and they had to find out what kind of duck they were. Once they had that figured out we got into our "flock" groups and did even more activities. Looking at different pictures of animals and listening to sound clips to try and discover who we saw on our "field trip" to the "pond" today. It was a lot of fun and one student even told me that he thought that our in class field trip was even more fun than he thought the actual one was. Homework this weekend is just to read daily for 30 minutes. Have a great weekend. I can't believe that next week is our last one! A reminder that on Monday we will be back from our field trip closer to 3 as we are taking the city bus and have to rely on their schedule. If that time is a problem for you, you are more than welcome to come and pick up your child from the TCC pool at 2:10.
